Dear Friends,
It has been a quiet week for The Square Inch Newsletter. I think I needed something of a breather. But I wanted to touch base and let you know about a couple of things.
The Dispatch asked me to write an essay on “Christian Zionism” (nice of them to pick something so boring and non-controversial), so you can look forward to that dropping tomorrow morning in their Dispatch Faith newsletter, edited by Michael Reneau. If you are not a Dispatch subscriber, now would be a great time to remedy that.
Next up, two weeks from today, is the Annual CCL event in San Francisco. This year is our Silver Anniversary celebration, so it will be a bit different than our usual “symposium” style. I will be joining Andrew Sandlin, Jeff Ventrella, David Bahnsen, Joe Boot, and Jerry Bowyer to talk about Christian Culture: Now More Than Ever. I guess I have been participating in this event for almost fifteen years and every single year has been better than the last. Attendance is capped but as of this writing, I believe there are remaining spots available. If you’d like to hop a quick flight to San Francisco to join us (with beautiful bayside accommodations), contact Elise Kloster at the number on this poster.
Not only will this year be special because of the Silver Anniversary milestone, but my whole family will be in tow. We are going to spend a couple of extra days visiting a few of our favorite northern California sights.
Yesterday my youngest and I went up the mountain to cut down Christmas trees. It is definitely the earliest we’ve ever done that, but the upcoming schedule required it. I guess we are now “Christmas before Thanksgiving” people! And I like it. A lot.
As our President likes to say, THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
