Today is release day for The Magnificent Pig! I am very excited about this new collection of essays, and hope that you are, too. Most of the chapters are curated from the best of The Square Inch over the past several years, but there are a few lengthy essays that have never before been published.

It is being released in two editions: a lovely matte-finish hardcover and a Kindle version. Like everything else, printing costs have risen over the last few years and so the hardcover is priced at $24.95 and the Kindle edition is $9.99. But I have a nifty way for you to also get the hardcover at what is essentially that same ridiculously low price of ten bucks.

FROM NOW UNTIL FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16th, 2022, if you send me a screenshot of your order confirmation for a hardcover purchase, free subscribers will receive from me a 90-day paid subscription to The Square Inch (a $15 value). That’s right! No more paywalled content. Full access to the archives and you’ll receive the Monday Off The Shelf and Wednesday Quarter Inch in addition to Friday’s Square Inch. Simply take a picture or screenshot of the order confirmation and email it to:

The shipping times on hardcover volumes are longer than is typical for paperbacks, so be aware of that. But there is plenty of time to get it before Christmas!
