Dear Friends,
On Friday night the Los Angeles Dodgers followed through during their “Pride” Night and recognized the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence—a troupe of drag queens who mock the Christian faith with vile skits and performances—in a pre-game ceremony. They did so long before game time, and from fan video online it appears that few people were even present in the stadium. The seats were empty, and many who were milling about on the concourse loudly booed and jeered.
Clearly the ball club was trying to make the best of their series of self-inflicted blunders (first inviting the group, then disinviting the group, then re-inviting the group). They just wanted to get it over with, and so they did it with minimal fanfare.
And then, when getting back to doing what baseball clubs are supposed to do—you know, play baseball—the Dodgers were promptly swept three games by their visiting rivals, the San Francisco Giants. Badly. On Saturday they suffered their largest shutout loss in the last 125 years. You read that number right.
I’m not one to make confident declarations about what God is up to, but having the San Francisco Giants punish the Dodgers for promoting blasphemy and sexual perversion seems like the kind of irony God likes.
As for what God against the Minnesota Twins, I have no guesses. Sheesh, they’re bad.
Riley Gaines is an athlete, a former top-ranked college swimmer who had her accomplishments stolen by a man pretending to be a woman. She’s been on a very courageous speaking circuit opposing trans ideology—bravery illustrated by her experience of being essentially kidnapped and held for ransom by violent students at San Francisco State University.
Recently she spoke alongside other witnesses at a Senate hearing on “Trans” men competing in sports.
