Dear Friends,

I must admit that it is truly amazing to watch the train wreck that is the Democrat Party. It’s surreal that it has come down to this. The President of the United States is obviously unfit to serve, much less to govern for another four years; and unless they are willing to do something drastic like invoke the 25th Amendment, they are stuck with him. There is nothing Joe Biden can do to undo the disastrous impression he left on the American people in the debate. So far he’s tried a sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos and it was incoherent. On Monday morning he was the “caller on line one” to MSNBC’s Morning Joe and he ranted and rambled even more incoherently, and even admitted he was reading off a list of talking points. At a campaign rally at Mt. Airy Church of God in Philly, he said this:

Even when I was running for Senate, each time I ran, quite frankly, not a joke, Philadelphia, in particular, got me across the line.”

That’s very odd, and he then said it again, underscoring it:

No, I’m not joking. No, I mean it, seriously, organizationally, and in terms of fundraising — the whole deal.

Just to make this really clear: nobody in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has ever cast a vote for Joe Biden in a Senate race because he was the Senator for the state of Delaware.

Biden is now hunkered down with Hunter and a small cadre of advisers, and it appears that the strategy is to simply refuse to exit the race and dare his party to try to remove him. Here’s Kevin D. Williamson with some apt words:

We are simply in uncharted territory. On the current trajectory, the Democrats can kiss their hopes of retaining the White House goodbye. They are stuck with one of the two people who can lose an election to Donald Trump (the other is their #2). But they are also in danger of torching their chances of gaining the House and retaining the Senate, too. I find it poetic justice that Joe Biden, always a mediocrity possessing a galaxy-sized ego with delusions of grandeur, is about to destroy his political party because of his pride.

Pride goeth before destruction; and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Some of you will celebrate this turn of events, no doubt, and I totally get it. I am no fan of President Biden or his party and I can confidently say that you’ll never find me casting a vote for them. If only there was a mature and principled alternative with a conservative governing philosophy.
