Isn't parenting a marvel? I approached it with such trepidation and fear but am discovering my 13 year old daughter... taking charge. Of her work ethic, of her curiosity... you name it. Teaching herself guitar, piano, archery, baking. It's such a grace to discover that she is so capable, since we were so afraid we'd not give her a good education.

I often turn over this proverb like a well-worn stone in my hand... It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. It's like God is being deliberately playful with us, leading us and our children on in our kingly vocations, teaching us both the virtue and the limitations of curiosity at the same time.

Cool stuff.
