Amen and well-said. The ideology that leads to rampant abortion evidences itself in the mentality you just described e.g. children are primarily burdens not blessings. Also, I think there may be a strong connection between this article and your article on spiritual warfare.
Great article, as always. I remember in my generation the concern was population growth - have fewer children or we'll overpopulate the world. Doesn't seem to be a concern any more....
I've also noted that at least in orthodox Christian circles (Anglican and Orthodox church specifically), BIG families seem to be the norm. One of my priest colleagues in our Anglican diocese just proudly announced they are expecting their sixth child. So at least some folks are taking the command in Genesis to heart.
